Tourre Foundation Grant – Paris


The TOURRE Foundation for fundamental research against cancer, recognized as a public utility by decree of the Prime Minister dated February 9, 2010, aims to support fundamental research against cancer, mainly by granting scholarships to public research units in favor of post-doctoral students, as well as by delivering an annual prize.

For the 11th consecutive year, the Foundation's Board of Directors has decided to award a €60,000 grant to a post-doctoral researcher working in a public research institute or laboratory located in France, in accordance with the founder's wishes and the Foundation's statutory goals.

This grant will be awarded by a Scientific Council composed of personalities from the research world as well as members of the Board of Directors of the Fondation TOURRE.

It will be paid to the host laboratory to participate exclusively in the remuneration of the awarded researcher.


Conditions to be met:

  • To hold a doctorate in medicine, science, pharmacy, veterinary medicine or engineering from the grandes écoles.

  • Be less than 35 years old at the date of the application

  • Work in a public research institute or laboratory located in France on the application deadline date


The application will include :

  • A copy of the diploma and an identity document

  • A detailed CV, one page maximum, of the candidate

  • A list of publications and a two-page note summarizing the work and highlighting its originality.

  • A letter of recommendation from the head of the research unit in which the work was done.

  • A research project (maximum two pages) concerning basic cancer research, approved by the laboratory director.
